We're looking for a motivated and aspirational Senior Backend Developer to join our team in Barcelona or Stockholm.

Flowbox was founded in 2016 and is a fast-growing tech scale-up with great goals and broad visions. We provide a SaaS platform that helps brands improve their marketing, social media and E-commerce strategies. Our technology helps our clients to better collect, manage, and distribute their own customers' content, also known as User Generated Content (UGC).

At the moment we have 800+ clients, 60+ Flowboxers, as well as 3 offices in Stockholm, Amsterdam and Barcelona.

About the teams

Depending on what you are interested in, there are two teams in our tech department that would be happy to have you:

One team manages the back-office platform of Flowbox, including company setup, user setup, account analytics and the UGC parts of the platform. End-user analytics allow customers to see how end-users interact with the Flowbox integration on their website, including what commercial value those interactions bring.

The other team focuses on the platform extension to give our customers more tools for incorporating UGC in their marketing strategies. This squad is responsible for the new product development in addition to the current platform setup.

All of our teams work cross-functionally and operate autonomously. Regardless of what team you find interesting, you will be given a unique and challenging work environment where you will have an opportunity to influence Flowbox’s product to the core. We like pair programming, reviewing our code, and providing each other with constructive feedback.

Your mission 🚀

As a Backend Developer at Flowbox, you will be a valued member of an autonomous, cross-functional, agile team, and build the backend for our product which is growing in popularity as we grow our user base and continue to add new features.

• You will design, develop and maintain backend services with a focus on high availability, low latency and scalability.
• You will work collaboratively to add design, build and maintain APIs, services, and systems with our engineering teams, debug production issues across different services and multiple levels of our tech stack.
• You will work with a tech stack that includes Python, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, Lambdas and PostgreSQL. 

About you

To thrive in this role, you should have 3-4 years of experience in backend development. You should have strong coding skills in at least one general-purpose language, preferably Python. You should be used to test-driven development, integration testing, and containerization. 

Furthermore, you will be working with a tech stack consisting of Celery, Flask, Docker, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, GitHub and AWS resources like S3, cloudwatch and EKS so if you have experience with these, it’s a big plus. 

It is a plus if you have a track record of working with microservices, and transforming larger services to this architecture. As a person, you should have an entrepreneurial mindset, including a strong work ethic and an interest in learning new technologies. You should be passionate about what you do and have a strong interest in keeping up with the latest best practices in your area of expertise.
